Procedures and Time Frame of the Long Term Residence Program
This program, offered by the BOI, has an efficient application process and provides special support to LTR applicants through a dedicated immigration office, the One Stop Service Immigration Office in Bangkok.

Initial Contact: Prospective clients contact us to complete initial due diligence checks.
Agreement and Retainer: Sign the client agreement and pay the retainer.
Application Preparation: Prepare and submit the application for Long Term Thai residence, along with the retainer fee.
Approval and Contribution: After a four to six-week process, make an appointment at a Thai Embassy or One Stop Service in Bangkok for the payment of the government fee and visa affixation.
Dual Citizenship in Thailand
While the residence permits obtained through the Thailand Privilege Residence and the Long Term Residence Programs do not lead to permanent residency or citizenship, there are pathways to permanent residency and citizenship available for eligible individuals.

To apply for Thai permanent residency, applicants must have held a Thai non-immigrant visa for at least three years prior to the application and must have three consecutive yearly extensions. The applicant must also hold a non-immigrant visa at the time of submitting the permanent residence application.

An application for citizenship can be filed to become a Thai naturalized citizen after holding permanent resident status in Thailand for 10 consecutive years. Thailand does not recognize dual citizenship, but there are exceptions.
